Introduction The workshop, Costura “Tonalli”, assists young women who have finished primaria (elementary school) or secundaria (middle school) education and are looking for economic support through the production of crafts and textile products. Through the workshop, these women are able to organize in such a way to look for a market, receive orders, produce and sell their products. Together with their creativity and cooperative efforts, the workshop becomes a community space where they can share and support each others dreams and ideals. The purchase of their products both helps support the operation of the workshop and provide economic support for the works involved. With the success of this workshop, Caminando Unidos is able to helping young adults with an alternative education that will provide them with more opportunities.
